Leisure Tynedale coordinate a number of sport and activity events across Tynedale to promote sport and physical activity in a quest to create an active community.

 

To achieve this we support a number of organisations to deliver the following events:

 

· Local Tournaments and Festivals

· Local Sports and Activity Courses

· Open Days and Taster Sessions

· School Sports Festivals

· Club Tournaments and Festivals

· Healthy Life Events and Healthy Walks

· National and Regional Projects, for example: Million Miles Challenge

 

Leisure Tynedale work in partnership with National Governing Bodies, School Sports Partnerships and many other organisations when arranging local sporting events. The Sports Development team hope to build on recent successes and further develop their sport and physical activity events in 2007.

 

2006 Events & Festivals

 

In 2006 Leisure Tynedale, through their Club Development Programme successfully hosted a Tynedale Netball Tournament at Prudhoe Community High School. Over 150 girls aged between 9 and 15 showcased their talents on this baking hot summer’s day.
